Successful Sustainable Coat Drive
Our coat drive, held during the week beginning 19th October 2026, was a great success! Parents and staff had the opportunity to donate coats, shoes, scarves and hats, giving these items a new lease of life and supporting a more sustainable approach to living. Our aim was to encourage families to think about the importance of sustainability and reusing items rather than purchasing new coats unnecessarily. We wanted to promote sharing, reducing waste and supporting those in need within our community.
We are delighted that the response was so positive. Nothing was left over, and all remaining donations were passed on to a children’s charity to ensure they could benefit other families. A huge thank you to all our parents, staff and families who contributed, and a special thank you to our Parent Partnership Group for their valuable help in organising and distributing the donations. Your support helped make this initiative such a success. Together, we have made a positive difference while promoting sustainability, kindness and community spirit.
Bake Sale to raise funds for Food Bank
Our children worked hard baking cakes and sweet treats to sell in order to raise some funds for our local Food Bank. The total raised was £128.28 and we will be using the funds to take children to the supermarket to buy non-perishable goods to then deliver to the local foodbank. Thank you for your support in giving the children an opportunity to see how important it is to give to others in need.
A Few Free Tickets Left!

CHILDREN'S CENTRE TRANSFORMATION SURVEY
Children's Centres in Newham are undergoing a major transformation after massive funding cuts aim to save over £1 million across the borough just for children's centres. Please fill in this survey to help shape what Children's Centre's will look like and remember to keep Rebecca Cheetham as the focus of your responses; we want to make sure that we continue to deliver children's centre services right here at Rebecca Cheetham! If you need help to fill out the survey ask one of our children's centre team! Here is the survey link:
