Weekly activities you can try at home - Coronavirus Lockdown
Dear parents/carers,
We really don't want you to feel stressed that you need to get your child to be performing at a particular level and that you need to spend your days "teaching" them. It's really not the best way that children learn and instead, children learn much more from "doing" than being taught to.
We will be offering you some further activities that you can try at home with your children in the mode of "doing" rather than teaching. However, I want to stress, that we are not expecting you to teach your children and if you have concerns for them being behind when they return, please feel assured that everyone is in the same boat and schools will ensure that your children will be provided with the right and appropriate means to get them back on track. The most important thing we need you to do is focus on their emotional wellbeing, oh and read to them as much as possible, as I constantly go on about!
Please see below some weekly activities provided by the team, alongside the daily text messages offering activities you can try at home.
UPDATE: The government have provided some advice on how to help your children learn at home and we offer the link to that advice by clicking here.
